Wells Fargo Proud To Support The 2017 LA County Fair

For the ninth consecutive year, Wells Fargo will sponsor the LA County Fair. On Wednesdays in September (6, 13 and 20) from noon – 5 p.m. Wells Fargo will work with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Inland Empire United Way to help support 10,000 classrooms. LA County Fair guests, with a donation of five new school items, will receive free single-day admission.

Wells Fargo will also be the co-presenting sponsor of the Community Heroes program and Community Days Receptions. Each weekday of the LA County Fair, one or more of the Fair’s 23 local community partners are celebrated. The local municipal community partners are Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, Upland, Azusa, Covina, Eastvale, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Walnut, West Covina, Whittier, LA County and Riverside County.

This year Wells Fargo will present a western-themed area called California Heritage Square, located in the Fairview Farms section of the Fair with a focus on California history. In addition, the Wells Fargo Together Experience will be back for a special event from September 20 - 24, including a virtual reality game and photo booth. Wells Fargo values being able to give back to local communities and one way this is done is through Wells Fargo’s Hands on Banking workshops that are free of charge and available in several languages. In Riverside and San Bernardino Counties there were more than 320 Hands on Banking classes taught during Wells Fargo’s annual “Teach Children to Save” and “Get Smart About Credit” Campaigns, reaching more than 14,000 participants in 2016. Last year alone, companywide team members volunteered more than 1.73 million hours with Hands on Banking and other community volunteer initiatives. In addition to team member volunteerism, Wells Fargo also gave more than $281.3 million to 14,900 nonprofits, schools, and community organizations across the country.
